(Phnom Penh): Cambodia exported USD 1.72 billion in vehicle tyres during the first nine months of 2026, a 77.46 per cent increase from USD 971 million in the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Commerce.
The United States was the largest market, followed by Brazil, Canada, and several European countries.
Cambodia now has eight tyre factories located in five special economic zones across Svay Rieng, Preah Sihanouk, and Kratie provinces.
Ken Oudomonysinat, General Manager of PIC TIRE Co., Ltd., attributed the growth to increased demand in the United States and Europe due to tariffs on Chinese products. He also urged streamlined export procedures to sustain further growth.
He noted that tyre exports from Viet Nam and Thailand have also risen this year and reiterated the need for simplified export procedures to further support the industry.
