(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Senate President Samdech Techo Hun Sen sent a congratulatory letter to Cho Jeong-sik, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea (ROK), on the occasion of South Korea's National Foundation Day, according to a letter seen by Fresh News on Friday (Oct. 2).
In the letter, Samdech Techo extended his warmest congratulations on behalf of the Cambodian Senate and the Cambodian people to Speaker Cho Jeong-sik, the National Assembly, and the people of the ROK.
“The remarkable development of the ROK as a global leader in industry, science, technology, innovation, and medicine has not only tremendously benefited your nation, but also has contributed positively to the development of the region as a whole. This commendable achievement reflects the great vision and dedication of Korean leaders and their investment in human capital and good governance,” he wrote.
“Cambodia always attaches great importance to the continued growth of mutually beneficial relations and remains committed to further enhancing our Strategic Partnership for the mutual benefits of our peoples,” he added.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen reaffirmed Cambodia’s commitment to strengthening its Strategic Partnership with South Korea, pledging closer parliamentary cooperation, both bilaterally and multilaterally, ahead of the 30th anniversary of the re-establishment of our diplomatic relations in 2027 to promote peace, stability and sustainable development.
