(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet said artificial intelligence (AI) can improve teaching and learning but cautioned against excessive reliance on the technology.
The premier spoke on Friday (Oct. 2) during a graduation ceremony for 2,573 graduates of Asia Euro University in Phnom Penh.
The premier encouraged students and teachers to use AI as a supporting tool while continuing independent research, reading and critical thinking.
He noted that while AI can rapidly process, analyse and synthesise information, users should not depend entirely on its responses, particularly in education.
Samdech Thipadei encouraged people to develop AI skills while maintaining clear limits and using the technology responsibly.
Meanwhile, Fresh AI, an AI application developed by Cambodians, has been gaining popularity among users. The platform integrates a large volume of data and offers AI-powered tools designed to help users quickly search for information, process content and perform a range of everyday tasks.
