(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and Cuban Ambassador Milena Caridad Zaldivar Piedra discussed opportunities to deepen bilateral cooperation in key sectors.

The premier received a courtesy call from Milena Caridad Zaldivar on Wednesday (Sep. 23) at the Peace Palace.

During their meeting, the ambassador praised the longstanding Cambodia-Cuba friendship and pledged to further strengthen bilateral ties.

For his part, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet highlighted the historic relations between the two countries and expressed optimism about expanding cooperation, particularly in agriculture and healthcare.

Both sides also discussed cooperation in education, culture and tourism, as well as mutual support in international forums. Samdech Thipadei encouraged continued engagement between the Cuban Embassy and relevant Cambodian institutions to identify new areas of cooperation.
