(Phnom Penh): PATA Cambodia Chapter is preparing the next edition of the Cambodia Travel Match (CTM) 2026 Mini-Series, taking place from 6 to 12 September 2026 and linking Siem Reap, Phnom Penh and the Kampot-Kep coastal corridor into one integrated destination-marketing and market-access journey.
This edition will welcome 40 hosted buyers from the Philippines, Nepal and Myanmar, including travel company leaders, senior executives, tour operators, and sales and marketing professionals. The central objective is to create direct commercial connections and convert destination promotion into tangible business opportunities for Cambodia's tourism industry.
A defining feature of this edition is the positioning of Kampot and Kep as one coastal destination with two distinct product tastes that complement each other. Kampot offers riverfront character, heritage, community experiences, agri-tourism, gastronomy and nature, while Kep brings a quieter seaside atmosphere, islands, beaches, seafood and leisure.
Together, Kampot-Kep can be packaged as a richer destination proposition capable of encouraging longer stays and greater visitor spending.
CTM is not designed simply as another business gathering. It is a market-access platform that brings international buyers to experience Cambodia first-hand, understand its tourism products and engage directly with Cambodian private-sector partners.
The objective is for buyers not merely to see Cambodia, but to be able to sell it, promote it and build Cambodia programmes for their respective markets.
Through Siem Reap, Phnom Penh, Kampot and Kep, CTM 2026 will demonstrate that Cambodia is far more than a single-heritage destination. The country can offer a diverse journey spanning civilisation and culture, urban life and gastronomy, communities and nature, and coastal leisure.
Thourn Sinan, Chairman of PATA Cambodia Chapter said, “We do not want CTM to end with meetings inside a conference room. Its real value is in converting connections into cooperation, sales and new visitor flows to Cambodia. Kampot and Kep are a clear example: one destination corridor, yet two distinct experiences that complement each other. This is how we should develop products, extend visitor stays and take Cambodia to the World.”
The CTM 2026 Mini-Series continues to invite hotels, resorts, DMCs, tour operators, restaurants, transport providers, airlines and other tourism partners to use the platform to connect with international buyers, expand their commercial networks and bring Cambodian tourism products into new markets.
