(Phnom Penh): A student team from the American University of Phnom Penh (AUPP) secured second place in the Cambodia National Qualifier, Final Round of the ASEAN ESG Challenge 2026, held at Himawari Hotel in Phnom Penh on Friday (Sep. 4).
The interdisciplinary team of Hut Meilang, Lek Seang Hong, Ly Panhavuth, Ing Tepipanhchapor, and Chamnan Sokputhea impressed judges with their ESG knowledge, teamwork, and diverse perspectives.
The ASEAN ESG Challenge 2026 is a regional student competition. Organized by the ASEAN Capital Markets Forum (ACMF) in partnership with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), the competition aims to promote awareness of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles and sustainable finance while enhancing participants' research, analytical, and presentation skills.
AUPP congratulated the students for representing the university with excellence and thanked the Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia (SERC) and partners for organizing the competition and promoting ESG leadership among young Cambodians.
