(Phnom Penh): Cambodia exported 792,212 tonnes of rice worth USD 464.17 million in the first eight months of 2026, according to the Cambodia Rice Federation (CRF).
The rice was shipped by 61 companies to 66 destinations, with Europe, China, Hong Kong, and ASEAN markets accounting for the largest shares.
Fragrant rice led exports at 57.96 per cent, followed by long-grain white rice at 24.40 per cent and broken rice at 14.26 per cent.
Cambodia also exported 3.36 million tonnes of paddy rice, valued at an estimated USD 753.41 million.
According to CRF President Lay Chhun Hour, rice exports are expected to reach 1 million tonnes in 2026, supported by government assistance, improved financing for rice mills, and expanding markets.
