(Phnom Penh): The General Secretariat of the National Assembly on Monday (Aug. 31) announced the passing of Chan Sarun, a Member of Parliament representing Takeo province, at the age of 81.

According to the announcement, Chan Sarun passed away at 12:29 a.m. on Monday due to old age and illness.

His funeral and traditional rites will be held at his residence at House No. 60, Street 310, Boeung Keng Kang I Commune, Boeung Keng Kang District, Phnom Penh.
