(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet said the Royal Government is strengthening the quality of education and vocational training while developing human capital to meet labour market demands and technological changes.

Speaking at the Royal University of Law and Economics' graduation ceremony on Thursday (Aug. 6), Samdech Thipadei highlighted the government’s efforts to improve hard and soft skills, promote reskilling and upskilling, and expand digital education to prepare Cambodia’s workforce for the future economy.

“Within the framework of human capital development, the Royal Government is elevating the quality of education and vocational training, developing both hard and soft skills, and preparing the workforce to better respond to changes in economic architecture, labour market demands, and digital technology,” he said.

On occasion, Samdech Thipadei underscored that institutional reforms, merit-based systems, and better working conditions are also being advanced to boost competitiveness and build a resilient digital economy.
