(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet received a courtesy call from Yoshihisa Kainuma, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MinebeaMitsumi Inc., at the Peace Palace on Tuesday morning (Jul. 28).

During the meeting, the CEO expressed his sincere gratitude to the Royal Government of Cambodia, as well as the relevant ministries and institutions, for their continued support of MinebeaMitsumi Inc.'s business operations in Cambodia, which has contributed significantly to the company's achievements and success.

He briefed Samdech Thipadei on MinebeaMitsumi's business progress, plans to inaugurate a new factory, and its continued investment expansion in Cambodia. He noted that the company's growth has helped attract other Japanese investors and reaffirmed its confidence in Cambodia's stable and favorable investment climate.

He also announced that MinebeaMitsumi will celebrate the 15th anniversary of its operations in Cambodia this December.

In response, Samdech Thipadei expressed his great pleasure at MinebeaMitsumi Inc.'s continued growth and success in Cambodia, emphasising that the company's success is also Cambodia's success. He reaffirmed the Royal Government of Cambodia’s commitment to maintaining a resilient and competitive investment environment while continuing to support investors.

Samdech Thipadei also highlighted ongoing reforms, including improvements at the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), stronger support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and tax incentives for strategic and high-potential sectors.

Before concluding the meeting, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet encouraged MinebeaMitsumi Inc. to further invest in Cambodia's local supply chains, build partnerships with domestic businesses, and work closely with relevant institutions to enhance investment efficiency and unlock new growth opportunities.
