(Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia): The Royal Academy of Cambodia (RAC) and the Volunteer Center of Mongolia (VCM) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 28 July 2026 in Ulaanbaatar, marking a significant milestone in advancing academic cooperation, people-to-people exchanges, and sustainable development initiatives between Cambodia and Mongolia.
The MoU was signed by Academician Sok Touch, President of the Royal Academy of Cambodia, and Tsevelmaa Batchuluun, Founder and Executive Director of the Volunteer Center of Mongolia, in the presence of representatives from both institutions.
The agreement establishes a comprehensive framework for long-term collaboration in areas including research, education, volunteerism, leadership development, cultural exchange, community engagement, and capacity building. It also aims to facilitate joint academic activities, institutional exchanges, policy dialogue, and collaborative projects that contribute to the socio-economic development of both countries.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Academician Sok Touch emphasized that the partnership reflects the Royal Academy of Cambodia's commitment to strengthening international cooperation and expanding academic networks with respected institutions around the world. He noted that the collaboration would create valuable opportunities for researchers, scholars, students, and young leaders from both Cambodia and Mongolia to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and foster mutual understanding.
Tsevelmaa Batchuluun welcomed the partnership and expressed her appreciation for the Royal Academy of Cambodia's commitment to international collaboration. She highlighted that the MoU would serve as a foundation for promoting volunteerism, youth empowerment, cross-cultural learning, and sustainable community development through joint initiatives between the two institutions.
The signing ceremony formed part of the official visit of the Royal Academy of Cambodia delegation to Mongolia from 27–31 July 2026, aimed at enhancing institutional partnerships and promoting academic and cultural diplomacy between the two countries.
The Royal Academy of Cambodia and the Volunteer Center of Mongolia reaffirmed their shared commitment to implementing the MoU through practical cooperation, regular exchanges, and joint programs that will further strengthen the enduring friendship and collaboration between Cambodia and Mongolia.
