(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet encouraged young people to pursue their dreams, develop their skills, and persevere through challenges, saying opportunities await those who are capable, bold enough to pursue their ambitions, and determined not to give up.

The premier spoke on Thursday (Jul. 2) at the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Pour un Sourire d'Enfant (PSE) in Phnom Penh.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet underlined that youth are the backbone of the nation and that Cambodia needs a new generation equipped with knowledge, technical skills, and determination.

He urged graduates to seize every opportunity to learn and grow, emphasising that success is driven by personal effort rather than family background. He noted that many senior government officials rose from humble beginnings after the Khmer Rouge era through hard work and perseverance.

On the occasion, the prime minister also encouraged young people from all walks of life to to keep moving forward despite obstacles, saying no one can limit their dreams except themselves.

He added that education extends beyond the classroom, stressing that lifelong learning and practical experience are essential for personal and professional development.
