(Phnom Penh): Khuon Sudary, Cambodian National Assembly President, sent a congratulatory letter to Speaker of the US House of Representatives Mike Johnson and the American people on the occasion of the historic 250th anniversary of US Independence Day, which will be celebrated on 4 July 2026, according to a letter seen by Fresh News on Tuesday (Jun. 30).

Samdech Thipadei Khuon Sudary stated, “On behalf of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia and on my own behalf, I wish to extend my warmest congratulations and felicitations to you, your colleagues, and the people of the United States of America on the historic commemoration of the 250th anniversary of Independence Day on 4 July 2026.”

She emphasised, “The longstanding friendship and comprehensive cooperation between our two nations have been remarkably strengthened over the years guided by the principles of mutual respect, mutual understanding, mutual trust and mutual interests.”

“We also look forward to a more fruitful parliamentary cooperation between our two legislative bodies to promote a people-centered governance and international cooperation as well as to revive open and inclusive multilateralism and rules-based international order,” she concluded.
