(Beijing): Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate and President of the Cambodian People's Party, received Song Hailiang, Chairman of China Communications Construction Company Ltd. (CCCC), for a courtesy call and working meeting in Beijing on Friday morning (Jun. 26).
During the meeting, Samdech Techo commended CCCC for its remarkable global growth and longstanding contribution to Cambodia's infrastructure development. He praised the company's achievements in the Kingdom and encouraged it to continue prioritizing key infrastructure projects currently underway, including the Funan Techo Canal, the Phnom Penh–Bavet Expressway, and National Road No. 50C, which links Kampong Chhnang and Kampong Thom provinces.
He urged CCCC to maintain its strong commitment and support to ensure the timely and successful implementation of these strategic projects, which are expected to significantly enhance Cambodia's infrastructure and drive long-term economic growth.
According to Senate Spokesperson Chea Thyrith, Song Hailiang expressed his pleasure at meeting Samdech Techo once again, describing him as an outstanding leader who has consistently supported the company's operations and infrastructure investments in Cambodia.
Song Hailiang also briefed Samdech Techo on CCCC's global operations, highlighting its expanding presence in Cambodia. The company currently operates 23 subsidiaries in the Kingdom, with Cambodian nationals accounting for more than 70 percent of its workforce. Over the past 20 years, CCCC has delivered approximately 70 infrastructure projects across the country, making a significant contribution to Cambodia's development.
He reaffirmed CCCC's commitment to supporting Cambodia's infrastructure sector and working closely with the Royal Government under Prime Minister Hun Manet to advance the country's green development transformation, a priority he also discussed during his recent visit to Cambodia.
Song Hailiang welcomed the steady progress of CCCC's ongoing projects in Cambodia and reiterated the company's long-term commitment to supporting the country's infrastructure development and future prosperity.
