(Kampong Speu): Cambodia’s stunning Khnang Phsar Mountain continues to attract growing numbers of tourists during the Green Season, welcoming 1,014 visitors from 15-21 June 2026, according to the Ministry of Environment.
Located in Oral District, Kampong Speu Province, about 165 km from Phnom Penh, Khnang Phsar is renowned for its breathtaking mountain landscapes, pine forests, rich wildlife, and panoramic viewpoints. Situated at the meeting point of Kampong Speu, Koh Kong, and Pursat provinces, it has become one of Cambodia’s leading eco-tourism destinations.
Recent infrastructure improvements, launched under the guidance of Prime Minister Hun Manet and implemented by Environment Minister Eang Sophalleth, have significantly improved accessibility and visitor facilities. New developments include a gravel access road, information centres, parking areas, cafés, markets, accommodation, solar-powered utilities, restrooms, and shower facilities.
A newly developed 4-kilometer hiking trail leading to the Preah Ang Footprint Site features rest areas, waste disposal points, scenic viewpoints, restaurants, and emergency support services.
The Ministry highlighted Khnang Phsar’s growing popularity as a premier nature-based destination, offering visitors a unique opportunity to enjoy Cambodia’s natural beauty and fresh mountain air.
