(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and a high-level delegation departed Phnom Penh on Monday (Jun. 8) for an official visit to the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam and the 3rd ASEAN Future Forum in Hanoi from 8 to 10 June 2026.
The visit was made at the invitation of Vietnamese Prime Minister Le Minh Hung.
According to a press release dated 7 June 2026, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet will hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Le Minh Hung, during which the two leaders will exchange views on ways to deepen bilateral relations as the two countries will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations next year. The two prime ministers are expected to touch on regional, and international issues of common interest and concern.
During the visit, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet will pay courtesy calls on Vietnamese Party General Secretary To Lam, and Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man. He will also meet with Permanent member of Vietnamese Party Central Committee's Secretariat Tran Cam Tu.
Samdech Thipadei will deliver a keynote speech at the opening session of the "ASEAN Future Forum" under the theme "Shape QuraFuture Together: Peace, Prosperity, People-Centered", which emphasizes promoting trade, investment, and economic cooperation within ASEAN.
