(Phnom Penh): Cambodia's famed Angkor Archaeological Park generated more than USD 17.2 million in ticket revenue during the first five months of 2026, according to a report released by Angkor Enterprise on Monday.
 
Between January and May, 359,471 international tourists purchased admission tickets to the UNESCO World Heritage site, generating USD 17,204,322 in revenue. Compared with the same period last year, visitor arrivals fell by 31.86 percent, while ticket revenue declined by 29.98 percent.
 
Other heritage attractions also contributed to tourism earnings during the period. Koh Ker Temple generated more than USD 110,000 in ticket sales, while Beng Mealea Temple and Kbal Spean each brought in USD 77,960. Revenue from boat ticket sales reached USD 398,315.
 
Despite the year-on-year decline, Angkor Wat remains Cambodia's premier tourism attraction and a cornerstone of the Kingdom's cultural tourism industry, continuing to draw hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the world.
