(Phnom Penh): Cambodia’s total international trade exceeded USD 23 billion during the first four months of 2026, marking a 19.9 per cent increase compared to more than USD 19 billion recorded during the same period in 2025, according to a report from the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia.
The report indicated that Cambodia’s exports from January to April reached over USD 11 billion, reflecting year-on-year growth of 21.7 per cent. Meanwhile, imports totalled more than USD 12 billion, an increase of 18.3 per cent from the previous year.
China remained Cambodia’s largest trading partner, with bilateral trade valued at approximately USD 7.172 billion. Cambodia exported goods worth more than USD 583 million to China, while imports from China exceeded nearly USD 6.6 billion.
The United States ranked as Cambodia’s second-largest trading partner, with bilateral trade surpassing USD 4.660 billion, representing a 41.3 per cent increase. Imports from the U.S. amounted to more than USD 182 million.
The customs report also highlighted strong trade growth with several major partners, including Viet Nam, Japan, Canada, Spain, Indonesia, and the United Kingdom.
