(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet, First Lady Pich Chanmony Hun Manet and a high-level delegation returned safely to Cambodia on 8 May 2026 after concluding the 48th ASEAN Summit, held from 7 to 8 May 2026 in Cebu, the Philippines.

Guided by the theme “Navigating Our Future, Together”, the Summit provided a platform for the ASEAN leaders to discuss key issues related to the ASEAN Community Building, and the Way Forward, focusing on: (1) ensuring regional energy security and resilience, (2) stabilizing food security, and (3) safety of ASEAN nationals, as well as exchange of views on regional and international issues, with a view to fostering a peaceful, prosperous, inclusive, and resilient future.

On the sidelines of the Summit, Samdech Thipadei also held bilateral meetings with ASEAN counterparts to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation and shared interests further.

Notably, a trilateral meeting among Cambodia, Thailand, and the Philippines reaffirmed the joint commitment of Cambodia and Thailand to lasting peace.

In bilateral meetings, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet met with Vietnamese Prime Minister Le Minh Hung, Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, and U Hau Khan Sum, Permanent Secretary of Myanmar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In addition, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet had a discussion with Jude G. Aguilar, Chairman of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, to discuss economic and business cooperation.
