(Phnom Penh): Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, Honorary President of the National Committee for the Promotion of Social Morality, Women's Values, and the Khmer Family, called on artists and digital content creators to produce more educational and positive content to help guide Cambodia’s younger generation.

Speaking at the committee’s 2024–2025 annual review conference held on 5 May 2026 at the Sun & Moon Riverside Hotel in Phnom Penh, the First Lady outlined strategic priorities for 2026–2027 and stressed the growing influence of online creators on youth.

Pich Chanmony praised creators who are already producing meaningful and educational content, noting that such videos continue to attract strong public engagement. She encouraged them to continue using their platforms to spread positive values, knowledge, and social awareness.

She also emphasised that the words and actions of artists and influencers carry significant impact, urging them to focus on content that promotes education, morality, and constructive behaviour among followers.

Highlighting the importance of youth in Cambodia’s future development, Pich Chanmony said the nation’s strength depends on a new generation of women and men who possess good manners, moral integrity, resilience, and a strong sense of responsibility.

The First Lady further called on society to consider the legacy being left for future generations, stressing the importance of building a community grounded in respect, ethics, and positive social values.

Established in 2006, the National Committee for the Promotion of Social Morality, Women’s Values, and the Khmer Family works to preserve Cambodian culture, strengthen moral values, and improve family well-being while advancing the status of women.

The committee holds a national review conference every two years to assess achievements and set future goals. Over the past two decades, it has led major initiatives including educational campaigns, promotion of ethical conduct, action against harmful media content, strengthened law enforcement, anti-human trafficking efforts, and digital campaigns promoting social morality.
