(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Tourism Minister Huot Hak presided over the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Cambodia Tourism Board (CTB) and Singapore Airlines, focusing on strengthening cooperation and promoting Cambodia’s attractive tourism destinations to regional and global markets to boost international tourist arrivals.
The significant ceremony, held on Monday (Apr. 27), was attended by Strahan Lim, representing Singaporean Ambassador to Cambodia Steven Pang Chee Wee; CTB CEO Kim Mina; Louis Leonard Arul, Regional Vice President for Southeast Asia of Singapore Airlines; as well as members of the CTB, and many distinguished guests.
On the occasion, the minister highlighted that this collaboration aims to enhance Cambodia’s international profile and promote the richness of its cultural and historical heritage, along with its diverse tourism experiences, from world heritage sites to coastal destinations and emerging ecotourism areas.
The partnership seeks to attract international tourists from around the world through the extensive global network and strong market presence of Singapore Airlines.
At the same time, the minister also shared that on Saturday, 2 May 2026, the Ministry of Tourism and the Cambodia Tourism Board will officially launch the “Visit Cambodia in the Green Season” campaign, running from May to October. This period showcases Cambodia at its most vibrant and lush, offering visitors a peaceful atmosphere, beautiful natural landscapes, and refreshing travel experiences.
The minister expressed confidence that this campaign, together with the MoU signing, will contribute to an increase in international tourist arrivals to Cambodia via Singapore Airlines, particularly during the green season.
