(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn received a courtesy call from Sonexay Vannaxay, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic to Cambodia, at the ministry on 22 April 2026.

During the meeting, Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn extended his warm welcome and congratulations to Ambassador Sonexay Vannaxay on his appointment, and reaffirmed his full support and cooperation to facilitate the successful fulfilment of the ambassador’s diplomatic mission.

In response, Ambassador Vannaxay expressed his sincere appreciation to the Cambodian foreign minister for granting him the honour of the courtesy call, and conveyed his gratitude to the leadership and officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for their continued support and cooperation extended to the Lao Embassy in Cambodia. He reaffirmed his commitment to further strengthening and expanding the excellent relations between the two countries across all areas of cooperation.
