(Phnom Penh): Cambodia’s international trade climbed to nearly $17 billion in the first quarter of 2026, marking a strong 17.2% increase year-on-year, according to the General Department of Customs and Excise.
The growth was fuelled by solid gains in both exports and imports, highlighting continued momentum in the country’s key trading partnerships.
Total exports reached USD 8.10 billion, up 17.7 per cent from USD 6.88 billion in Q1 2025, while imports rose 16.7 per cent to USD 8.84 billion from USD 7.57 billion a year earlier.

China remained Cambodia’s largest trading partner, with total trade exceeding USD 5.15 billion, followed by the United States (USD 3.48 billion), Viet Nam (USD 2.26 billion), Thailand (USD 796 million), and Japan (USD 750 million).
