(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and a high-level delegation arrived in Cambodia safely on Thursday (Apr. 9) after concluding the One Health Summit and working visit in France from 6-9 April 2026.
Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet met with French President Emmanuel Macron. Both leaders discussed further deepening and expanding the growing bilateral cooperation between Cambodia and France in the fields of political, security, trade and investment, and culture, with a view to advance relations between the two countries to strategic partnership in the near future. The two leaders also exchanged views on multilateral cooperation, including the upcoming Francophonie Summit in Phnom Penh in November this year, and on regional and global developments.
During this visit, Samdech Thipadei participated in the One Health Summit in Lyon, on 7 April 2026. The One Health Summit, which marks the 9th edition of the One Planet Summit, is a flagship event under France's presidency of the G7 in 2026. It serves as a high-level platform bringing together Heads of State and Heads of Government, representatives of international organizations and civil society and scientists to deliberate on the interconnected challenges of human health, animal health, and ecosystems.
