(Phnom Penh): Jean-François Tain, Minister Delegate Attached to the Prime Minister, said that the presence of Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet in France is a clear indication of Cambodia's commitment to fostering a global vision that prioritises multilateralism and constructive dialogue.

Jean-François Tain spoke on Thursday (Apr. 9) during a press conference on the outcomes of Prime Minister Hun Manet's participation in the One Health Summit and his working visit to France.

“Over the past three days, Samdech Thipadei’s engagements in France clearly underscore Cambodia’s support for multilateralism, dialogue, and adherence to international law,” Tain said.

Prime Minister Hun Manet and First Lady Pich Chanmony Hun Manet attended the One Health Summit in Lyon and conducted a working visit to France from 6–9 April.

The One Health Summit, which marks the 9th edition of the One Planet Summit, is a flagship event under France's presidency of the G7 in 2026. It serves as a high-level platform bringing together Heads of State and Heads of Government, representatives of international organizations and civil society and scientists to deliberate on the interconnected challenges of human health, animal health, and ecosystems.

During the summit, Prime Minister Hun Manet delivered a keynote address outlining Cambodia’s approach to global health issues, focusing on governance and science, infectious diseases, and non-communicable diseases.

He reaffirmed Cambodia’s commitment to contributing practical solutions to global health challenges through international cooperation.
