(Phnom Penh): On 8 April 2026, Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet received a courtesy call from Rémi Maumont de Longevialle, CEO of VINCI Airports, while attending One Health Summit in Lyon and paying a working visit to the French Republic from 6-9 April 2026.
During the meeting, the CEO expressed his deep gratitude to Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet for the opportunity to meet with him.
He also thanked the Royal Government of Cambodia for its consistent support for the company’s business operations and for maintaining an excellent co-operative partnership.
Furthermore, the CEO briefed Prime Minister Hun Manet on the company’s business progress and action plans. He highlighted the company’s current focus on strengthening partnerships with international airlines to expand direct flight connections to Cambodia, promoting Cambodia’s tourism potential to attract more tourists to the Kingdom.
He reaffirmed the company’s commitment to working alongside the Royal Government to promote and develop the aviation industry while exploring new opportunities for investment and business expansion in Cambodia.
In response, the premier expressed his pleasure in meeting the CEO and highly valued the company’s significant role and contribution to the development of Cambodia’s aviation sector.
He also shared information regarding the official launch of Techo International Airport, noting that the Royal Government has tasked relevant ministries and institutions to consult with the company and the private sector to identify innovative ways to enhance Cambodia’s competitiveness.
The prime minister emphasised that Cambodia’s primary objective is to increase direct flights from countries around the world.
In closing, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet encouraged the company to continue its close dialogue and engagement with relevant ministries and institutions to identify new opportunities and further enhance the success of its business operations in Cambodia.
