(France): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet shared five key insights during the One Health Summit in France on Tuesday (Apr. 7).

First, partnership and solidarity. He called for stronger regional and global collaboration, emphasizing the importance of sharing knowledge, resources, and technology among governments, scientists, civil society, and communities.

Second, integrated surveillance and early warning systems. He stressed the need to harmonise standards, expand genomic sequencing, and ensure rapid responses.

Third, sustainable financing and innovation. He highlighted the importance of mobilising long-term international funding, increasing domestic investment, and strengthening public–private partnerships.

Fourth, combating antimicrobial resistance and climate pressures. He urged responsible antibiotic use, improved monitoring, regulatory reforms, and the integration of climate considerations into health and agricultural policies.

Fifth, knowledge, equity, and preparedness. He underscored the need for evidence-based policymaking, investment in laboratories and workforce development, equitable access to life-saving tools, and greater community awareness.

On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet also called for stronger collaboration, enhanced preparedness, sustainable financing, and a greater focus on equity as core pillars of the One Health approach.
