(Phnom Penh): Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni extended warm congratulations to To Lam on his election as President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam for the 2026–2031 term, according to the letter seen by Fresh News on Wednesday (Apr. 8).

The Cambodian king conveyed his message following To Lam’s election by the 16th National Assembly.

King Sihamoni expressed strong confidence in President To Lam’s leadership, noting that Viet Nam would continue to achieve rapid progress across all sectors while strengthening its role both regionally and globally.

The king also highlighted the enduring ties between Cambodia and Viet Nam, emphasizing their shared history of solidarity, trust, and mutual understanding. He voiced hope that bilateral relations would continue to promote peace, stability, and cooperation for the benefit of both nations.
