(Phnom Penh): Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Cambodian Acting Head of State, extended his heartfelt congratulations to To Lam on his election as President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam during the First Plenary Session of the 16th National Assembly, according to a letter seen by Fresh News on Tuesday (Apr. 7).

In the letter, Samdech Techo Hun Sen wrote, “On behalf of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and on my own behalf, I would like to convey my heartfelt congratulations to Your Excellency on your election as President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam in the First Plenary Session of the 16th National Assembly.”

He added, “Your election to this highest office clearly reflects your exceptional leadership and strong resolve for the country's rapid development and greater prosperity.”

Samdech Techo highlighted, “I am gratified by the fact that the longstanding relationship between our two countries has been built on the solid foundation of solidarity, trust, mutual understanding, comprehensive cooperation, and long-lasting stability.”

Samdech Techo Hun Sen also reaffirmed his steadfast commitment to continue working closely with To Lam to deepen the bilateral cooperation, both at the bilateral and multilateral levels, for the benefit of the two peoples and for the cause of peace, stability, and prosperity in the region and beyond.
