(Phnom Penh): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and a high-level delegation departed Phnom Penh on Monday (Apr. 6) for a working visit to the French Republic from 6 to 9 April 2026 at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron.

According to the Foreign Ministry’s press release dated 3 April 2026, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet will meet with French President Emmanuel Macron to discuss further deepening and expanding the growing bilateral cooperation between Cambodia and France in the fields of political, security, trade and investment, and culture, with a view to advance relations between the two countries to strategic partnership in the near future. The two leaders are expected to also exchange views on multilateral cooperation, including the upcoming Francophonie Summit in Phnom Penh in November this year, and on regional and global developments.

During this visit, Samdech Thipadei will participate in the One Health Summit in Lyon, on 7 April 2026. The One Health Summit, which marks the 9th edition of the One Planet Summit, is a flagship event under France's presidency of the G7 in 2026. It serves as a high-level platform bringing together Heads of State and Heads of Government, representatives of international organizations and civil society and scientists to deliberate on the interconnected challenges of human health, animal health, and ecosystems.

Samdech Thipadei will be accompanied by First Lady Pich Chanmony Hun Manet and members of the high-level delegation which include Cambodian Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn, along with some other members of the Royal Government of Cambodia and senior officials.
