(Phnom Penh): On 2 April 2026, Matsuda Junsaku, Counsellor of the Embassy of Japan, participated in and delivered the opening remarks at a training session on “Advancing Responsible Business Practices in Cambodia.”

The session aimed to promote responsible corporate practices in Cambodia, which are essential for global market competitiveness and sustainable socio-economic growth. This initiative is implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) through support of the Government of Japan.

The Government of Japan has been a long-standing partner in supporting Cambodia’s development, including efforts to strengthen governance, private sector development, and sustainable economic growth. Through initiatives like this training, UNDP and Japan aim to build awareness and capacity among businesses and stakeholders in Cambodia to adopt responsible practices that enhance competitiveness while contributing to inclusive and sustainable development.
