(Phnom Penh): The Ministry of the Royal Palace announced that King Norodom Sihamoni and Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk will remain in Beijing for continued medical monitoring following recent examinations, according to the announcement seen by Fresh News on Tuesday (Mar. 31).

According to Chinese doctors, the king’s evaluation is not yet complete and requires further observation and treatment. On medical advice, he has extended his stay and will not return to Cambodia for now.

Despite this, the king and queen mother sent their warm wishes to the Cambodian people ahead of the Khmer New Year, praying for peace, prosperity, and happiness for all.
