(Phnom Penh): The American University of Phnom Penh (AUPP) successfully hosted its Career Fair 2026 on 26 March, drawing more than 500 participants in a vibrant gathering aimed at connecting students and graduates with leading employers across Cambodia.

The event brought together a diverse mix of business leaders, entrepreneurs, industry professionals, and young job seekers, creating a dynamic platform for networking and career exploration. Approximately 20 booths were featured, representing key sectors such as banking and finance, hospitality, insurance, NGOs, real estate, technology, and education.

From early morning, large crowds of students and recent graduates actively engaged with company representatives, seeking internship and employment opportunities, as well as gaining insights into industry expectations. Many participants were seen exchanging CVs, asking detailed questions, and exploring career pathways aligned with their academic backgrounds.

“I feel more confident about my career direction after speaking directly with employers,” said one participating student, reflecting the enthusiasm shared by many attendees.

In addition to recruitment activities, AUPP organized a high-level panel discussion under the theme “Sustainability and Resilience: The New Business Imperative.” The session highlighted the growing importance of sustainable practices and adaptability in today’s rapidly changing global economy.

The panel featured distinguished speakers, including:
- Dr. Shad Ahmad Khan, Associate Professor, Faculty of Business and Management

Speakers further underlined the critical role of higher education institutions in equipping students with practical skills, innovative thinking, and resilience to meet evolving workforce demands.

Panelists shared real-world experiences and offered practical recommendations, encouraging students to remain adaptable, continuously upgrade their skills, and embrace challenges as opportunities for growth.

The Career Fair concluded on a high note, reinforcing AUPP’s commitment to bridging the gap between education and industry, while empowering the next generation of professionals in Cambodia.
