(Phnom Penh): Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Wang Wenbin congratulated on the opening of the Cambodia–China Mekong Kratie Friendship Bridge, the longest bridge built by China in Cambodia.

In a message posted on his social media on Wednesday (Mar. 25), the ambassador said this bridge marks the latest achievement of China–Cambodia cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.

He added that the bridge will serve as a major juncture connecting the National Road No. 6 and the National Road No. 7, and an essential support for stronger economic development in Cambodia’s northeastern and central-western regions.

“The number of bridges and roads that China builds in Cambodia is still growing. Just like Cambodia, whose development never stops. Let’s work together, Cambodia,” Ambassador Wang underlined.
