(Phnom Penh): Acting Head of State Samdech Techo Hun Sen congratulated Thongloun Sisoulith on re-election as President of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) in the inaugural session of the 10th Legislature of the National Assembly, according to a letter seen by Fresh News on Tuesday (Mar. 24).

“Your renewed success in obtaining this top position is a testament to your exceptional leadership of and dedication to your nation and people,” Samdech Techo added.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen stressed, “I am convinced that during your tenure, the relations and cooperation in all sectors between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Lao PDR will be further strengthened and deepened thanks to our shared values, mutual trust and understanding, and joint commitment to promoting peace and prosperity of our two nations, the region, and beyond.”

“I look forward to closely working with you to further forge our two countries’ partnership and cooperation in the spirit of traditional friendship, solidarity, good neighbourliness, and mutual understanding for the mutual benefits of our two peoples,” the letter concluded.
