(Phnom Penh): Chum Sounry, Ambassador-Designate of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Japan, received a delegation from Tohoku University Graduate School of Medicine, led by Katsuhiro Yamaguchi, Chairman of Gyoukoukai Medical Corporation and Director of Ohashi Eye Clinic, according to a press release seen by Fresh News on Thursday (Mar. 19).

During the discussion, both sides exchanged views on continuing their joint efforts to further enhance cooperation in healthcare and human resource development between the two countries. Ambassador-Designate Sounry reaffirmed the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Tokyo’s readiness to support and facilitate collaboration between Cambodian and Japanese medical institutions, with a view to further strengthening Cambodia–Japan relations, particularly in the fields of healthcare and human resource development.
