(Phnom Penh): The National Authority for Combating Drugs (NACD) presented a certificate of appreciation to Fresh News in recognition of its active role in promoting the anti-drug campaign alongside the Royal Government of Cambodia.
Lim Cheavutha, founder and CEO of Fresh News, received the award during the opening ceremony of the NACD’s annual meeting reviewing its 2025 achievements and outlining priorities for 2026, at Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel on Friday (Mar. 6).
The ceremony was presided over by NACD President Neth Savoeun, alongside Interior Minister Sar Sokha.
In the commendation letter, Neth Savoeun expressed appreciation to Fresh News’ leadership and staff for their contributions to Cambodia’s fight against drugs.
Fresh News has actively participated in disseminating educational messages about the dangers of drugs daily, as well as reporting on various law enforcement crackdowns. These efforts contribute to the Royal Government’s campaign to combat drugs in Cambodia, particularly the campaign against illegal drugs, which has been carried out from the 1st anti-drug campaign through the current 11th anti-drug campaign.
Fresh News CEO Lim Cheavutha expressed his gratitude to the NACD and the Royal Government for awarding the commendation to Fresh News.
CEO Lim Cheavutha thanked NACD and the Royal Government for the recognition and reaffirmed that Fresh News will continue working closely with authorities to raise awareness and support efforts to eliminate drug problems in Cambodia.
