(Phnom Penh): Sun Chanthol, First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), welcomed and expressed full support for a proposal by Japanese investors to establish an automobile parts manufacturing plant in Cambodia for export to international markets.
The vice chairman said the plan is in line with the Royal Government’s policy of attracting more factories in the electronics and automotive sectors, speaking in an interview with the media while attending the ASEAN–Cambodia Business Summit 2026 on 4 March 2026.
On the occasion, Sun Chanthol also encouraged the investors to continue discussions with the Council for the Development of Cambodia in order to explore the project further and receive available investment incentives.
