(Phnom Penh): The Government of India, through the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), invites Cambodian students to apply for fully funded scholarships to study in India. Over 40 scholarships are available for undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D programs in fields such as humanities, social sciences, engineering, technology, information technology, architecture, computer science, business administration, forensic science, management, agriculture, Buddhist studies, philosophy, arts and culture, including dance, music and yoga etc. The last date of application of the scholarships is 15 April 2026.

Cambodian students who have completed secondary school (or equivalent) are eligible to apply for the undergraduate courses. Likewise, students who possess a bachelor’s degree can apply for postgraduate programmes and Ph.D applicants must hold a master’s degree. English proficiency is required. Applicants must also have a valid passport, certified transcripts and degree certificates; provide certified English translations if originals are not in English.

The Indian scholarships are intended to open opportunities for Cambodian students to study in India, a country which is well known as an education hub attracting international students from all over the world. India’s robust education system, in the backdrop of its rich diversity and vibrant culture and history, affords a broad range of options for students. And as a rapidly growing country with a leading technological edge, studying in India has much to offer, whether it is Engineering, Computers, Arts, Philosophy, Political Sciences or Classics etc. Over the years, many Cambodian students have availed of the ICCR scholarships, and on their return to Cambodia, they have significantly contributed to the economic and social life of Cambodia and to the growth of bilateral relations between India and Cambodia.

Cambodian students who are selected will receive full tuition fee support, return economy airfare, a monthly living allowance (stipend), book allowance and campus accommodation where available. These benefits are intended to make studying in India accessible and comfortable.
