(Banteay Meanchey): On Saturday morning (Feb. 14), Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet met with and offered encouragement to 1,248 displaced families from Prey Chan and Chouk Chey villages who are currently taking refuge at a designated safety centre inside Wat Chansi Samki Ratanaram in Ou Chrov district, Banteay Meanchey province.

The Royal Government of Cambodia reaffirmed its firm commitment to protecting citizens and preventing any renewed armed conflict. Authorities continue to arrange temporary accommodation and essential assistance for affected residents, particularly the elderly and vulnerable families who are not yet able to return home. The government is actively working to improve living conditions at evacuation sites by ensuring security, hygiene, and a healthy environment for all displaced persons.

The Royal Government reiterated that no citizen will be left behind, stressing that the well-being of the people remains at the heart of the Royal Government’s mission and the shared responsibility of all citizens nationwide.
