(Paris): On 11 February 2026, Heng Sour, Cambodian Minister of Labour and Vocational Training, held a bilateral meeting with Garbel Kofler, State Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development of the Federal Republic of Germany, to reaffirm and expand cooperation between Cambodia and Germany.

The meeting took place on Wednesday (Feb. 11) during Cambodia’s participation in the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Forum on Due Diligence in the Garment and Footwear Sector, held at the OECD headquarters in Paris, France.

During the discussion, both sides expressed satisfaction with the progress of existing cooperation, which has contributed to improvements in labour conditions, social protection systems, and vocational training in Cambodia.

They agreed to further deepen collaboration, focusing on enhancing productivity, advancing skills development, and strengthening the capacity of employers’ and workers’ professional organisations. The two parties also exchanged experiences, challenges, and opportunities in promoting sound industrial relations.
