(Phnom Penh): Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly, underscored national unity as a vital force in safeguarding Cambodia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Speaking on 11 February 2026 while receiving donations for frontline forces and displaced families, she praised the solidarity of the “great Khmer family” under the leadership of the Royal Government.

She expressed gratitude to Cambodians at home and abroad for supporting the government and armed forces in defending national sovereignty. The donations, she said, reflect strong public trust in senior leaders, including Senate President Hun Sen and Prime Minister Hun Manet.

Khuon Sudary reaffirmed that protecting sovereignty, territorial integrity, and citizens’ well-being remains the government’s top priority. Cambodia does not recognize any illegal border changes or territorial occupation and remains committed to resolving Cambodia–Thailand border issues peacefully through international law and existing agreements, particularly via the Joint Boundary Commission (JBC).

She noted that unity across all sectors of society, from citizens and monks to officials and the royal family, has strengthened during this challenging period.

The National Assembly leadership and civil servants contributed funds and supplies, including rice, water, dried and canned food, which were distributed to provincial administrations along the Cambodia–Thailand border for further support to frontline forces and displaced families. Additional funds and supplies were provided to support heroic forces undergoing medical treatment and to families of those who sacrificed their lives.
