(Phnom Penh): Cambodia’s imports from Thailand totalled more than USD 151 million in January 2026, marking a sharp decline of 49.3% compared to USD 297 million recorded in January 2025, according to the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia.

Cambodia’s exports to Thailand also fell, reaching more than USD 58 million, a decrease of 19.6%. As a result, total bilateral trade for the month stood at over USD 209 million, down 43.5% from the same period last year.

For the whole of 2025, Cambodia–Thailand trade amounted to more than USD 3.6 billion, representing a year-on-year decline of 14.9%. Cambodia’s exports to Thailand reached over USD 732 million, down 14.1%, while Thailand’s exports to Cambodia exceeded USD 2.9 billion, a fall of 15%.
