(Phnom Penh): The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) approved 43 investment projects in January 2026, with a total capital of approximately USD 752 million, according to a CDC press release seen by Fresh News on Tuesday (Feb. 10).
These projects are expected to generate around 26,000 jobs.
Of the 43 projects, 35 are located outside special economic zones (SEZs) and eight within SEZs. Compared to January 2025, project registrations fell by 37 percent, although total investment capital rose slightly by USD 3.4 million, or 0.45 percent.
Notably, January 2026 saw several major projects, including the establishment of three new SEZs with a combined investment of USD 260 million, and a 150-megawatt wind power plant with an investment of USD 200 million.
