(Phnom Penh): Special Agents from the Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) Office of Overseas Criminal Investigations (OCI) at the US Embassy Phnom Penh, Cambodia successfully coordinated the removal of an American fugitive wanted in the United States for felony possession of a firearm, and multiple felony drug charges. DSS agents located the individual and worked with Cambodian authorities to facilitate his arrest and removal, according to the US Embassy Phnom Penh’s social media on Monday (Feb. 9).

The fugitive was returned to the United States in the custody of the US Marshals Service, the Embassy wrote.

The Embassy added that the special agents thanked Cambodian counterparts for their professionalism and collaboration. “Together, we are sending a clear message: those who attempt to evade justice will be found and held accountable.”
