(Phnom Penh): The Cambodian Ministry of Interior issued an update on Saturday (Feb. 7) concerning the situation following the ceasefire agreement.
According to the press release, which covers the period from 6:00 a.m. on 6 February to 6:00 a.m. on 7 February 2026, an additional 2,776 displaced persons returned to their homes.
Consequently, as of now, approximately 560,000 people, equivalent to about 86 percent of the total of more than 640,000 displaced persons, have reintegrated into their communities.
As a result, there are 87,204 displaced persons, including 45,756 women and 28,256 children, remaining in displacement camps.
