(Phnom Penh): Samdech Techo Hun Sen, in his capacity as Acting Head of State, on Friday morning (Feb. 6) officially received Tô Lâm, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, at the Royal Palace as the highest royal representative of His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni.

The reception was conducted with an official welcoming ceremony and included a royal audience.

Earlier on Friday, the Office of the Royal Palace issued a statement informing that King Norodom Sihamoni is currently unable to carry out his royal duties. Accordingly, the king delegated Samdech Techo Hun Sen, in his role as Acting Head of State, to officially welcome General Secretary To Lam at the Royal Palace.

General Secretary To Lam and his delegation arrived in Cambodia earlier the same morning for a one-day State Visit.
