(Phnom Penh): The Cambodian Ministry of Interior issued an update on Thursday (Feb. 5) concerning the situation following the ceasefire agreement.

According to the press release, which covers the period from 6:00 a.m. on 4 February to 6:00 a.m. on 5 February 2026, an additional 2,388 displaced persons returned to their homes.

Consequently, as of now, approximately 550,000 people, equivalent to about 85 percent of the total of more than 640,000 displaced persons, have reintegrated into their communities.

As a result, there are 95,474 displaced persons, including 49,991 women and 30,532 children, remaining in displacement camps.
