(Phnom Penh): At the invitation of Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam To Lam will undertake a State Visit to Cambodia on 6 February 2026, according to a press release seen by Fresh News on Tuesday (Feb. 3).

During the State Visit, the king will graciously grant a Royal Audience to the general secretary and host a State Banquet in his honour at the Royal Palace. Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk will also graciously receive the general secretary in Royal Audience at the Royal Palace.

During his stay, the general secretary will also lay wreaths at the Independence Monument and the Royal Memorial of the late King-Father Norodom Sihanouk, as well as the Cambodia-Viet Nam Friendship Monument.

The general secretary will also hold a high-level meeting with Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Cambodian Senate President.

The State Visit of General Secretary To Lam will further strengthen the cordial relations between Cambodia and Viet Nam, underscoring shared commitment to further strengthen and deepen the mutually beneficial cooperation in the spirit of "good neighbourliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation and long-lasting stability" for development and prosperity of the two nations and peoples.
