(Phnom Penh): The Cambodian Ministry of Interior issued an update on Monday (Feb. 2) concerning the situation following the ceasefire agreement.

According to the press release, which covers the period from 6:00 a.m. on 1 February to 6:00 a.m. on 2 February 2026, an additional 2,363 displaced persons returned to their homes.

Consequently, as of now, approximately 550,000 people, equivalent to about 83 percent of the total of more than 640,000 displaced persons, have reintegrated into their communities.

As a result, there are 109,044 displaced persons, including 57,159 women and 35,673 children, remaining in displacement camps.
